摘要

Processing of magnetic resonance images (MRI) is one among the parts of the image processing in medical field, which is the most emerging field from past few days. The tumor detection is often a preliminary phase. This paper describes the detection of the brain tumor by thresholding method. The proposed technique can be efficiently applied to detect and extract the brain tumor from MRI images obtained from patient's data base. It proves to be handy tool for the physicians working in this field.
