A study on harvester for OAI-PMH compliant institutional repositories for academic institutions

Digitalization in India is happening with a greater pace with almost all the services being migrated to the digital space. A very huge amount of data resides over the internet being in the possession of industries, academicians and institutions. This data comprises of research journals, conference proceedings, author's version of publication and much more. The mentioned data is actually the digital intellectual output of the institution, in particular a research institution. To disseminate, preserve and collect data an institutional repository can be built by the respective individual institutions. In the following sections we carry out the study for developing a harvester that would harvest the data from the different institutional repositories.
