Design and Implementation of Load Balancing Strategy in Openstack Cloud Platform

With the rapid development of cloud computing, more and more users choose to deploy the application services on the virtual machine in the cloud platform. OpenStack is one of the most popular platforms in open source. At present, there are a few researches on the load balancing of virtual machines in cloud platform. Most of the researches adopt the traditional dynamic load balancing algorithm, the reliability and the efficiency is not high. Therefore, how to achieve load balancing is an urgent need to be satisfied. Based on modified OpenStack, this paper presents a load balancing including a load forecasting model and algorithms based on BP neural network. We conduct a series of experiments to verify the approach. The experimental results show that the performance of the cloud platform has been greatly improved.
