Extended abstract: Scaling collaboration and communication of a growing consulting firm

As a firm transforms from a small enterprise towards 50 or more individuals, organizational structure is essential to its sustainability. It is important as the firm grows to develop a firm that can transform from the small survival, often chaotic, staged firm of the individual entrepreneur and staff to one that can scale up to maintain the original reasons for the firm's initial success. This will require the development of a platform of multiple leaders, staff hierarchy, a culture development program, and consistent management policies in order to ensure success for the long term, no matter how large the firm grows.
