Validation of a water level meter using Electro-conductive paint by a model ship

We tried to measure the water level with a resistance typewave height meter using conductive paint and metal wire.From the measurement results, there are several problems withthe method of water level measuring by electric resistanceusing the metal wires on the surface of the hull, which provedto be problematic as a measurement method.On the other hand, it was found that the water levelmeasurement by the conductive paint was relatively wellmeasured including the measurement results in reference 1)and 2). In a measurement with metal wires, protrusions formon the model ship surface. These protrusions might be thecause of the measurement problems. However, withconductive paints, such problems did not arise.
