As [NASA HLV] has shown that switched architectures as illustrated in Figure 7 are able to tolerate single faults with a very high reliability for a launcher mission profile. It has further been presented, that the overall reliability does not decrease by the cables and connectors. This paper has presented an launcher avionics architecture based on deterministic Ethernet allows to: - Support highly deterministic avionic control, telemetry and camera data - Provides a robust physical layer with very low bit-error rate over long distances - Seamleesly integrats with standard Ethernet - Provides built-in fault tolance based on a global timebase (clock synchronization) - Integrates redundancy management and therefore allows to build up voting architectures easily.
