1. Media of 2 μm glass, 5 μm stainless steel and 6.5 μm stainless steel media had the highest average efficiencies of about 85%. The stainless steel media had significantly lower pressure drops resulting in much higher FI than the 2 μm glass media. 2. For the wetting properties of the polymers selected, N6 and PTFE are ideal polymers to produce nonwoven polymer fiber layers having high and low wetting properties to the Sullube® 32 oil by electrospinning. 3. It is possible to get a better performance by interlaying the nonwoven polymer fiber media among the stainless steel layered media.
