摘要

The pressure gradients of water/air two-phase flow in three kinds of spherical- and four kinds of cylindrical-particle beds were measured with no additional water inflow to investigate the particle shape effect and the adequacy of mean diameters for a non-spherical particle, and it was compared with each other and analytical models. As a result, the pressure gradients of water/air two-phase flow in the beds having a mean particle size of 5 mm are approximatively well predicted by the Schulenberg & Mueller model, and the Equivalent diameter is more proper than the Sauter mean diameter although it is appropriate for local flow range and there is a small porosity difference.
