A new neutronics analysis code for pebble-bed High Temperature Reactors (HTR), named HINT, is under development in Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology (INET) Methodologies are introduced for the lattice physics module HINT-XPZ and the core physics module HINT-RCS, respectively HINT-XPZ is responsible for the resonance treatment, equivalent homogenization, neutron spectrum calculation, and burnup analysis HINT-RCS solves the neutron diffusion equation with the homogenized broad-group cross sections generated by HINT-XPZ, and provides leakage feedback to the latter Numerical results are presented to verify the code's capability in lattice physics and core physics computations It demonstrates that the HINT code is promising for pebble-bed HTR neutronics analysis
