Performance analysis of temperature controllers for injection molding machine

PID regulators have been famous within professionals and widely accepted for dominant industrial systems where the main objective is the performance. Industrial processes are generally complex, containing interacting multi input multi output (MIMO) controller loops. Operators of industrial processes have a good expertise in PID controller tuning. PID controller can be equipped with predictive property, if the error signal applied to calculate the control signal, is not the actual error, but its predictive value in a future point or in a future horizon. Injection molding machine has more temperature trouble shooting problem. This problem could be attempted by PID controller tuning process. To improve the general behavior of a control system with Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller structure, simulation results of proposed controllers studied and compared.
