Optimization techniques for effective energy conservation in a three floored building

Most of the energy consumed in schools, colleges & offices is the electricity supply for lighting, cooling and other HVAC equipments. Hence, it is necessary to provide thermal insulation so that heat from outside may not enter into the building. During summer, the electricity consumption increases due to air-conditioning in these rooms to compensate for the higher ambient temperature. The present work includes design of green building for meeting civil construction requirements of gyan ganga college of technology (GGCT) which is an educational institute The energy saving expected from the proposed energy conservation measures has been calculated. This has been calculated by using application software “DESIGN BUILDER V3.2”.
