Mercado Eléctrico Argentino: Reformas y re-regulación

摘要

This work shows the main regulatory reforms to the Argentine Electricity Market during the past 15 years. Due to the socio-economic crisis of 2001, characterized by the end of the currency convertibility and the deterioration of the payment chain among players of the sector, some regulatory measures were adopted in the electricity market to offset the impact on the sector. This work also shows the main indicators and tendencies during this period, under a real scenario of growth in the demand of energy. Finally, it shows the conclusions drawn from the explanatory variables that define the response to all the implemented amendments.
