This paper studies an integrated two-input three-input dc/dc boost converter with fuel-cell (FC) and battery energy resources for hybrid electric vehicle (EV) connected to dc-distribution system. In the proposed power converter, the loads power can be flexibly distributed between input sources. Also, charging or discharging of battery storage device by Fe source can be controlled properly. The proposed converter has several outputs in series to achieve a high-voltage output which makes it suitable for interfacing to EV and dc-distribution system. Depending on charging and discharging states of the battery storage device, two different operating modes are defined. The proposed power converter has just one boost inductor and a diode-capacitors multiplier, the boost circuit output terminals and multiplier output terminal are stacked to increase the output voltage gain and to reduce the voltage stress on the power devices. The operational principle and steady-state analysis are described for each operation mode. The validity of the proposed power converter and its performance are verified by simulation and experimental results.
