It has long been a significant challenge to improve the performance of flexible wireless power transfer. This paper proposes a novel controlled resonance power architecture for use in weakly coupled systems with less power processing stages, and investigates the basic design principles and implementation in power management ICs. Experiments show efficiency improvements in the range of 20¿¿¿30% in practical applications.
