Galvanized steel is widely used for automobile and construction due to high corrosion resistance. Galvanic corrosion at a cut edge and a damaged part is a significant issue for the steel Experimental evaluation of the phenomena in atmospheric condition is difficult. Although numerical simulations of galvanic corrosion have been reported by several researchers, simulations under atmosphere has not been developed yet. Objective of this study is establishment of a numerical simulation technique of Zn/Fe galvanic corrosion under a thin NaCl solution which simulates atmospheric corrosion.
