The development of a probe for continuous monitoring of the dew point of combustion products in energy boilers

As a result of the combustion products' temperature dropbelow the dew point, numerous power industry units facecorrosion problems due to condensed acids. Large corrosionattacks and defects appear namely at air heaters, economisers,fume ducts and also in chimneys. The automatic system forcontinuous combustion products' dew point monitoring in thecombustion equipment is developed in SVUM, a.s. The study summarises results from the preparation phase of pilot operationin a coal power station and in waste incineration plant.
