Hydrogel Photonic Crystals for Biosensing

摘要

Photonic crystals were prepared in form of hydrogel inverse opals. They are capable of responding to the presence of analytes with a change in reflected color. The principle is applicable to a wide variety of analytes: Low molar mass compounds, bio-macromolecules such as proteins, viruses and even bacteria.
