摘要

The desulfurization (de-SO_2) powders are a solid waste obtained from the sintering plants of the iron and steel industries. It is mostly landfilled due to its massive quantities and complicate compositions. A new utilization was developed in this study as a de-soil reagent for the treatment of tailings in the open-pit mines. In this paper, the de-SO_2 powders were collected from a sintering plant using the semi-dry de-SO_2 process. The chemical compositions of the de-SO_2 powders were analyzed by titrations and the chemical phases were determined with a X-ray diffractometer (XRD). The size distribution was measured by a laser particle size analyzer. The micro-morphology was observed by a scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Furthermore, the interaction between the de-SO_2 powder and the soil particle was studied.
