Conflicting Claims on Distributive Justice in Disputes over Locally Unwanted Facility Siting: Comparison of Three Japanese Cases

摘要

The objective of this study is to explore how different claims on distributive justice conflict with one another in disputes over locally unwanted facility siting. By comparing three conflicts over waste disposal facilities in Japan, this study suggests a taxonomy to classify siting conflicts and shows how differently distributive justice claims are conflicted according to the types of conflicts.
