摘要

This paper presents mathematical simulation of hydrodynamic, electromagnetic and thermal processes at continuous casting with electromagnetic stirring of the liquid phase of aluminum ingot. As used electromagnetic device is a cylindrical linear induction motor. Calculations were performed by finite element method. The study result is to obtain a mathematical model of a particular technological process, including such items as a phase transition (liquid/solid), dependence of the electrical conductivity from physical state and temperature, solidification latent heat, etc. This model will allow produce a various investigations and development of the casting technology with electromagnetic influence.
