It is an important issue to keep supply and demand balance to realize stable power supply. In particular, frequency regulation method should be carefully designed in small scale power system with renewable energy sources because system frequency easily changes compared to bulk power systems. In order to mitigate frequency fluctuation in microgrid with wind power, a control method of inertial response of wind turbine was proposed and its effectiveness was examined in this paper. The simulation results indicated that with the help of inertial response control, it was possible to reduce capacity of rechargeable battery to keep system frequency within the same allowable range.
