摘要

A dielectric rod antenna designed to deliver electrical pulses to shallow tissue targets was characterized in free space. The return loss (S11) and the electric field measured on the axis of the antenna match the simulation results. The bandwidth, defined as the frequency range in which the return loss is less than -5dB, is from 1 GHz to 4 GHz.
