Positive energy office building: A case study in Casablanca, Morocco

摘要

Being a high-rise building, the optimization of an office tower consumption is a priority. The application of energy efficiency measures to the baseline building shows an energy reduction of 56% in the energy efficient building model. Then, the integration of the photovoltaic double-glazing to the envelope of this model reduces its consumption by 15%, turning it into positive energy building model. The rate of return and LEED certification level, provided by a financial and impact environmental study, evaluate the project's viability and greatly recommend allowing the injection into the low voltage grid in Morocco, the major objective of this research.
