Because of the complexity of traditional three-phase three-level SVPWM algorithm, an optimized SVPWM algorithm based on coordinate rotation is studied in this paper. With matrix transformation, a new coordinate is obtained by compressing vertical axis and clockwise rotating the coordinate utilized in traditional SVPWM algorithm by 45°. In this new coordinate, coordinate value of the basic vector is an integer, and the SVPWM algorithm is realized by sector judgment, time calculation process. Computational complexity of processes above could be greatly simplified. Finally, the correctness of the algorithm is verified based on the MATLAB/Simulink simulation and experiment platform.
