摘要

In the present study a numerical simulation was developed to quantify the temperature rise in the retina during femtosecond corneal surgery. Additionally, ex-vivo retinal heating due to femtosecond laser irradiation was measured with an infrared thermal camera as a validation of the simulation. Thermal camera measurements are in agreement with the simulation. During routine femtosecond corneal surgery with normal clinical parameters, the procedure is safe.
