Application of QFD technique to enhance suggestion for agricultural information service

Agricultural information required by the farmers is diverse and inappropriate for a farmer to explore and gain knowledge for his cultivation. In order to provide the farmers their interested agricultural information and knowledge, an agricultural information suggestion service is built with the concept of QFD, to enhance the quality of suggestion made. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a useful planning approach for constructing new product design or modifying existing ones. QFD is a system for translating customer requirements (operating conditions and buyer expectations) into suitable technical aspects and ensuring that important ones are prioritized in the design. QFD is built with the notion of prioritizing the design parameters among the vast existing ones, and suggest the farmers with the most appropriate suggestions. The QFD has been experimentally evaluated and the results have been discussed.
