This paper proposes a new algorithm based on Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate CPV impact on the dispatch-ability of power systems. Power systems behavior is affected by the new complex CPV generation and loads that have uncertain and variable nature. The proposed technique measures the current power system flexibility index and checks its ability to operate the power system safely. It also determines the desired reserve sources or storage that must be added to improve the system flexibility for real-time operation. Future Middle East sun-rich Egyptian grid is taken as an example to validate the proposed algorithm.
