When explosive explodes, the dent depth produced by exploding on the steel and the explosive detonation pressure presents approximately the linear relation, the greater the detonation pressure is, the deeper the dent depth, so the steel dent depth can be used as a quantitative relative measmement to determine the sequential axial output energy of explosive exploding.This article briefly describes the basic principle and measurement method of the steel dent method based on this, a relation expression between explosive detonation pressure and the steel dent depth is found by the statistical treatment to the test data of the detonation pressure and dent depth of burster.In this article, based on the accelerated life test of a certain burster at 15°C, 65°C, 70°C, 75°C and 80°C, the explosive sequence axial output energy of this burster was measured and many test data of the steel dent were gathered according to this measurement method.Through analyzing the test results, the change curve between the explosive sequence axial output energy of this burster and the test stress level (the temperature stress level) was found and solved the quantitative measurement problem of the explosive sequence axial output energy of a burster.
