Maritime Cellular phone Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Forwarding into CG-IT/Rescue21: As part of this effort, the project team conducted initial demonstrations of the Next Generation 9-1-1 call system to improve the speed and quality of distressed mariner caller information into the CG-IT infrastructure and the R21 Coastal Program of Record. The demonstration, conducted on simulation (only) systems 23-25 SEP 2014 at the GD Scottsdale, AZ facility, successfully imported 9-1-1 Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) voice and location data from a simulated outside private IT network. The simulations proved capability, improved the efficiency of call routing and exploited distress call specifics (metadata) into 'CGONENet' without expansion of the Rescue21 Coastal system.
