A comprehensive EHL analysis is carried out to study the starvation effect on pressure distribution and film profile by changing the position of inlet meniscus for a Diester lubricated EHL contact. It is observed that starvation has a great influence on the film thickness and is influenced by contact load and speed. It is concluded from the study that starvation increases with shifting of inlet meniscus toward contact zone. Starvation increases with increase in speed and decreases with increase in load.
