摘要

Cognitive Radio (CR) is a promising solution for the spectrum scarcity problem in wireless communication systems. CR monitors the environment and detect spectrum holes when primary users are absent. In this paper a new spectrum sensing technique is proposed, which is designed based on the sample covariance matrix. The proposed technique is compared with existing Eigen value based spectrum sensing and other spectrum sensing techniques. Result shows that probability of detection of proposed technique is higher than the existing techniques.
