As the renewable generation facilities are increased, the power system is required to manage balance between supply and demand, and to maintain its stability. In this paper, for energy self-reliance of housing complex, a method for capacity design of renewable generation and an operation policy for an energy storage are proposed. Load profiles from the housing complex are merged and combined with a generation profile, and the energy storage operates to reduce peak load or generation power based on the profile. Through a simulation by Python program, the energy self-reliance and the effect of peak reduction were verified.
