Safety monitoring of long distance power transmission cables and oil pipelines with OTDR technology

摘要

This paper presents two typical applications of polarization- and phase- sensitive OTDRs, which are representative Distributed Optical Fiber Sensors (DOFSs), for on-line safety monitoring of long-distance power transmission cables and oil pipelines in the energy industry.
