In order to apply various kinds of iron ores effectively and economically, the Optimization System of Iron Ores Proportion for sintering process was developed with C# language. The system combined Linear Programming and Genetic Algorithm together for calculating iron ores blending schemes. The system sets blending cost as the objective parameter, and uses sinter chemical compositions, -0.5mm particle contents of mixture and the supply of raw materials as restraining parameters. The system could provide several optimizing schemes, and predict the corresponding technical parameters and sinter yield and quality indexes for each scheme, such as appropriate sintering moisture, appropriate fuel ratio, vertical sintering speed, tumbler index and productivity, whose accuracy rate were more than 87%.
