Non-excavating Horizontal Directional Drilling Applied in the 2rd Phrase Project of Feed Pipelines Expansion in Xi'an City, China

摘要

The 2rd Phrase Project of Feed Pipelines Expansion in Xi'an City, China is the key program for urban construction in 2011 for Shaanxi Province, the to-be-expanded pipelines are also the main one supplying water for Xi'an International Horticultural Expo, which has attached high attentions from all sectors of the society and municipal leaders. Directional drilling project (2,270m long, steel pipe specification: Φ 1220mm × 14mm ) located at Dongyue Road of C section affiliated to the expansion is the most difficult one, which determines the whole program. In this paper, summaries and discussions are made for key technologies and techniques on non-excavating horizontal directional drilling based on project practices so as to provide reference for the similar projects.
