Focus on Tail Threading to Increase Operator Safety while Improving Machine Efficiency

In the last 10 years the focus of tail threading projects has shifted from increased production to an increased focus on safety. While a focus on safety may be the driving factor, increased machine efficiency can also be realized when converting threading operations to fully automatic systems. Examples of threading projects of varying investment levels will be presented: 1. the cost of zero investment could be quite expensive. 2. even limited investment can result in safety and productivity improvements. 3. a focus with capital investment can provide a safe, repeatable threading operation.
