This paper presents a generalised approach to determining the position and size of "narrow" phase-plug channels that is applicable to compression drivers with radiating diaphragms of arbitrary geometry. In addition, it is demonstrated that carefully shaping the compression cavity according to the diaphragm motion results in optimal behaviour. FEM computed examples are presented that demonstrate the method.
