Experiment of a Two-stage Absorption Heat Transformer generating Steam

In this study, we investigated a two-stage absorption heat transformer which can generate high temperature steam of approximately 180°C driven by waste heat from hot water below 90°C. Model-scale (steam 10kW) apparatus and practical-scale(steam 200kW) test apparatus were designed and built. Test operations of the apparatus were conducted, and the function and effectiveness of the heat transformers were verified.
