The HyBRIM™ technology opens up new step-out catalyst formulations giving 40% improvement in activity based on a better utilization of the active metals. 40% higher activity corresponds to lowering the reactor temperature by 7-8°C (13-15℉) in hydrocracker pretreating and ultra-low sulfur diesel services; an activity increase that can be used to prolong the cycle length, improve the product quality, increase throughput or process heavy feedstocks. In addition, the HyBRIM™ technology exhibits the same excellent stability that our clients have come to expect from our BRIM~® catalyst series. We have demonstrated that the TK-609 HyBRIM™ catalyst has even higher hydrogenation activity than the TK-607 BRIM~® catalyst, an ability which can be used to give higher volume swells at otherwise similar conditions. The advantages of the new TK-609 HyBRIM™ can be used to improve the profitability and economics of all hydrocracker pretreating and ULSD units in multiple ways. TK-609 HyBRIM™ is already in use in about two dozen ULSD and hydrocracker pretreat units less than 12 months after its launch date.
