The direction finding is a key technology for acoustic surveillance system. It is looking for more accurate and efficient methods to detect acoustic targets. AVS allows the location of a target to be determined in a more accurate and efficient manner when compared to the traditional methods. In this chapter, we have proposed a sound intensity measurement based method to estimation the ground target direction. The method is simple and easy for applications; it realizes the intruded direction estimation via a small AVS. Theoretical simulation and experiment indicate that this method improves estimation precision notably, and it has a well-applicable worth in engineering.
