The paper presents a study based on numerical simulation methods of electrical circuits - SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) family, which analyzes the influence of the variation of the parameters of the winding equivalent distributed circuit model of an electrical transformer on the propagation of overvoltage waves along the high voltage winding of the transformer. It is shown that of the five parameters of the equivalent circuit, the most important is the transverse capacitance, followed by longitudinal capacitance, winding resistance, winding inductance and with the least importance the transverse winding resistance of the transformer.
