摘要

This paper introduces a novel design of a dual-band resonator based on non-degenerate dual resonant modes of a simple rectangular cavity. The high-Q cavity resonator is fabricated using a hybrid configuration consisting of PTFE substrate with dielectric constant of 3.2 and a cavity engraved in aluminum sheet. The targeted first and second resonant frequencies are 10GHz and 13GHz respectively. The measured results from the fabricated resonator validate the concept. The key advantage of using a hybrid substrate structure for realizing the cavity is that the active devices can be mounted directly on the top substrate enabling seamless integration of high-Q resonator with rest of the microwave integrated circuit (MIC).
