摘要

This paper aims at the implementation of fuzzy logic controlled three level shunt active filters to minimize the harmonics present in the stator current and to minimize the torque ripple of a permanent magnet brushless DC motor. This proposed work is simulated using MATLAB Simulink. The control signals for the shunt active filter are generated using fuzzy logic technique. The simulation results for various methodologies in minimizing the harmonics and torque ripple minimization are compared. There is a considerable improvement in terms of reduction in current harmonics. It is also observed that there is considerable reduction in torque ripple due to the current compensation provided by the shunt active filter.
