This paper presents a method for the quick calculation of cogging torque waveforms under consideration of the permanent magnets' imperfections. All possible combinations of faulty and intact magnets can be calculated from two parametric FEA-calculations. Thus, the response of the motor's cogging torque to the deviations of manufacturing can be predicted in an early state of development and with manageable computational effort.
