Simultaneously Shop, Bag, and Checkout (2SBC-Cart): A Smart Cart for Expedited Supermarket Shopping

摘要

Currently supermarket shopping is very labor-intensive, with repeated loading and unloading of goods in and out of the shopping cart. The main idea of the work presented in this paper is to define a radically new methodology for supermarket shopping, eliminating all repeated handling of product, in the process of loading product in and out of the shopping cart, for the purposes of product shopping, bagging, and cashier checkout. This work combines all three (3) of these processes into one (1) single unified activity.
