摘要

The Hokuriku region, located in the northwestern part of the main island of Japan is known asa heavy snowfall region in the world. It is predicted that the changes in snow fall and melt dueto the global warming will have great effects on water resources in this region. The varioustypes of hydrologic and meteorological data such as precipitation, runoff, solar radiation, airtemperature and snow depth are being observed in our experimental catchment and dischargedata in a large mountainous river as well as irrigation data are collected for water use analysisin the region. In our report, a model of snow fall and melt and a hydrologic model are proposedto predict and discuss the effects of the global warming on water resources, especially onirrigation water.
