The mesh deforming process is critical in computational fluid-structure coupling. In this paper a radial basis function (RBF) interpolation method is implemented in order to generate dynamic meshes for a CFD ALE solver. The method is then tested on turbomachinery application, where boundaries are highly constrained by walls or periodic boundary conditions. Two meshes are considered, one is a 2D viscous mesh while the second is a 2 million points 3D grid and exhibits tip-gap. A comparison between Unsteady-RANS and Linearized-RANS simulations is also presented to assess the validity of the method.
