1. Coprocessing of pigments in MNFC production is beneficial compared to post addition 2. Loss of mechanical properties due to filler presence can (partially) be compensated for by the addition of bio-polymers, like CMC 3. A wide property space can be covered by changing recipe and intensity of fibrillation process 4. Pigment hydrocolloid hybrids are very promising pigments for such applications 5. (Pigmented) MNFC can be manufactured into complex shaped geometries Further work 1. obtain/develop an economic composite manufacturing process 2. better understand the fundamental interaction mechanisms.
