A Novel Digital Control System for Direct Paralleling Power Supplies

This paper proposed a new digital controlled method using reverse current protection, digital controlled conditional over-voltage protection, digital controlled droop current sharing, high performance pre-bias start up and constant current control. This method makes sure the power supplies can be connected directly without sharing bus and ORING FET circuit or OR-ING-DIODE circuit, which improve the overall efficiency, reduce the overall board size and reduce overall cost of power system. Experimental results carried out on two direct paralleled full bridge converters confirmed the validity of the theoretical analysis in this paper.
