Automated EMI Measurement Set-up Comprising CM and DM Measurements with a Modified LISN

For a proper design and optimization of EMI filters it is necessary to measure EMI noise at the phase L and N. Furthermore, the contribution and distribution of the common mode (cm) and differential mode (dm) is crucial for any filter design. Therefore, it needs to be measured as well. However, the EMI noise measurement process is operated manually and the measurement set-up has to be adjusted during the whole process. Hence, the measurement is time-consuming and prone to faults. Therefore, it is very important to automate the process in order to save working time and avoid errors that might occur during the adjustment of the set-up. A novel fully automated EMI measurement setup is presented here.
